A lot of people ask me, how painful is full mouth reconstruction? To tell you the truth, you don’t need to be in any pain. Okay. It should be very easy for a patient to come in and get full mouth reconstruction. We can do it under a local anesthetic or in some cases.
I do recommend that we do it under IV sedation. You’re not totally out, but you don’t feel anything and you don’t remember anything. It’s the best way to go ahead and get all your mouth done in, let’s say, two to three visits, and especially if you have some systemic problem, I do recommend IV sedation or twilight sleep. I do have anesthesiologist that comes into our office, that makes the patient quite comfortable. But as far as having any pain, there is no pain, and you’re going to be quite comfortable.
